These double end, combined drill and countersink center drills are used for centering the ends of work where the work is subsequently to be revolved on machine centers. The angle of the countersink part is made the standard 60 included angle to fit standard centers. Available in plain type and bell type. On precision work, some users prefer the bell type, as the additional small 120 angular chamfer protects the edges of the center hole and reduces the danger of inaccuracies from marred center holes.

These blades produce chips which are narrower than the blade itself to reduce the friction of the chip on the blade and the sides of the cut. In addition, the design permits the use of greater effective clearance angles on the sides without decreasing the strength and rigidity of the blade. The reduced friction permits longer tool life for a given amount of wear land. The blades are made of steels having the highest "red" hardness in its class. Choose Catl No. 960 for High Speed Steel and Catl No. 965 for Cobalt Steel.

Designed with offset heads to prevent the drifts from passing completely through key slots and are shorter, making them safer and more practical.

For quick removal of embedded broken screws or studs. A hole is drilled into the broken stem and the correct screw extractor is inserted. By twisting to the left, the extractor will grip firmly in the drilled hole and remove the broken screw, without damaging the tapped threads and the part is salvaged.
