These double end, combined drill and
countersink center drills are used for centering the ends of work where
the work is subsequently to be revolved on machine centers. The angle of
the countersink part is made the standard 60°
included angle to fit standard centers. Available in plain type and bell
type. On precision work, some users prefer the bell type, as the
additional small 120°
angular chamfer protects the edges of the center hole and reduces the
danger of inaccuracies from marred center holes.
