Besly Cut-Off Blades

These blades produce chips which are narrower than the blade itself to reduce the friction of the chip on the blade and the sides of the cut. In addition, the design permits the use of greater effective clearance angles on the sides without decreasing the strength and rigidity of the blade. The reduced friction permits longer tool life for a given amount of wear land. The blades are made of steels having the highest "red" hardness in its class.
